The Human is a simple looking complex piece of work. The mechanics of the human brain are amazing. Even though the workings of the brain are nothing more than electrical impulses and can be easily replicated by scientists, people say that the government's plan to create/clone humans was immoral because these people would be missing on vital thing that makes us human... the soul.
But of course, this did not stop the government's research. They wanted new and better soldiers to defend from the growing threat of Germany should they ever decide to attack. Their first successfully created human was named "Emik." For simplicity and safety purposes, the government created Emik as a young baby who would grow under their care for the next eighteen years. During his first years, Emik was taught the techniques and skills that the government required. Such techniques included different languages, hand-to-hand combat, pain and torture enduring techniques and wilderness survival.
The government knew of Emik's potential ability to destroy everyone at the base that he was being held at. As such, Emik was closely monitored by the scientist who created him, and should there ever arise a need, they were to implant a computer chip in his head that would make him nothing more than a remote-controlled toy. At the age of six, Emik killed one of the guards with a gun made of simple household items. When he was 9, he strangled three guards with their own clothes. At age 11, he cracked a guards skull open. After this gruesome event, Emik was never allowed to wear anything more than shoes without any shoelaces.
Emik's growing independence and murders around the base were deemed uncontrollable when he was about twelve and a half. So, the government decided to install their personality regulating computer chip. However, during the middle of the operation, Emik awoke and killed the entire operating team with their own tools and removed the newly installed chip himself.
Emik escaped from the base with nothing more than a pair of boots and a dressing gown. He ran at full speed for twelve miles until the cold of the night finally put him out and he collapsed on the beach. Three hours later, Emik was found by a thirteen-year-old boy who had recently run away from home. The boy returned to his house carrying Emik on his shoulder.
The family agreed to take care of Emik because he had nowhere else to go. Emik explained everything about himself except for one thing that only his creator knew... the origin of his last name. Emik only knew the spelling of it and it was unsure as to whether it was pronounced Dark-fire or Dark-fear. He only knew that it had a great amount to do with his purpose of creation other than defending the US from Germany.
After two years of living with this family, the government found Emik, despite his ability to cover his tracks extremely well. They slaughtered the entire family save for Emik and Reko, the boy who originally found Emik. Emik took a bullet to protect Reko, and seemingly unharmed, he killed an every last one of the soldiers and stole one of their trucks. Together, Emik and Reko drove to some unknown location.
Four days later, Emik and Reko arrived at Rapid City, South Dakota. They had no money, nowhere to sleep, and no food. They went into the nearby forest in search of food, but instead found an old man's training dojo. The man who owned the dojo hated more than anything trespassers at his dojo and immediately took a hostile tone. Emik tried to fight him, but the man's skills were much more developed than Emik's, and Emik lost the battle. However, the man was impressed with Emik's skills and agreed to take both him and Reko.
The old man taught Emik and Reko Jujitsu, strength and balance techniques and mental strength techniques. This was most difficult for Emik because the half-completed chip installation caused him to have erratic mood swings and temperaments. Emik had to undergo extremely difficult mediation techniques. When one of these mood swings caused Emik to almost kill Reko, he decided to try and rectify this problem by operation on the infected section of his brain with a pair of scissors and a kitchen knife, and this was done with some success.
For the most part, this operation cured the mood swings, but created new long term affects that caused Emik to be extremely untrusting, unsociable, very apathetic, somewhat ruthless, and very, very quiet. Emik only had any real social interaction with Reko and his still unnamed martial arts master. The only person Emik trusts is Reko, and he does so implicitly. Everyone else is better off dead to him.
However the chip left behind a few positive effects as well. The power surge caused by the chips removal awakened and strengthened the psychic abilities of his brain. This gave Emik the ability to use both Psychokinesis (moving objects with his mind) and Pyrokinesis (creating fire with his mind). Emik strengthened these techniques over time to the point of him being able to make fire burn on and under water.
After completing his training six years later, Emik and Reko returned to Seattle to find out more about Emik's creation. All Emik knew was that a major corporation, Merco Millennium, created the machines that were used to create Emik. To bring in money, Emik and Reko offered their services as mercenaries. Their main benefactor is Merco Millennium's rival corp, FAUS corp.
Emik's dedication to himself only created an ongoing cycle. Along with Reko, He'd break a branch of Merco Millennium, not only to take care of something FAUS wanted, but to steal and kidnap key items and people related to his creation. This obviously infuriates the governments, and as of now, Emik's life expectancy is no more than six months.
